Black Diamond Ranch is a private, upscale, gated community with the most unusual and challenging golf courses anywhere, offering 45 holes around a flooded limestone quarry. The golf course was designed by Tom Fazio and features a hole on the floor of an abandoned limestone quarry providing breathtaking vistas. With the famous quarry course, Black Diamond is one of the top-ranked golf courses in the world. Located in Brooksville, only minutes south of Citrus County is the World Woods Golf Club with two challenging 18-hole golf courses. World Woods is known as a world class practice facility and was nominated by Sports Illustrated Magazine as "the best range in the world". At World Woods, the Pine Barrons course advertises this, “The final five holes could be the toughest stretch in the South.” Pine Barrons was recently ranked 9th and Rolling Oaks was ranked 63rd in the country at the same time. |
Other notable golf courses in Citrus County Florida include Skyview at Terra Vista, and El Diablo Golf Club in Citrus Springs, the Dunes Golf Club at Seville, and Sugarmill Woods Golf and Country Club in Homosassa. The Villages of Citrus Hills has a new spectacular golf course, Skyview at Terra Vista of Citrus Hills. The Skyview golf course is located on the second highest elevation in Central Florida with stunning panoramas. Skyview is often referred to as the best "hidden secret" in Citrus County. |
